About caching in Catch Client
The Catch Client uses the RMS (device record store) for caching. All device Java MIDP 2.0 have support for the record store but its size differs.
The record store (RMS)
The record store are limited and have no space for large resources. When the record store is full, resources are re-sent from the Strike Server. If your target group uses older and/or low level phones avoid using sounds, and be very careful with images.
File system
New devices have support JSR-75 Optionnal PIM API this is however not supported.
Imported resources
By using custom Catch Client settings, resources for several services can be added to the binary JAR. By adding icons, logos or other types images, additional download of image resources is not needed.
